Northside Hospital Offers Prostate Cancer Screening
Men between the ages of 45 and 75 who have no prior diagnosis or exam within the past year are eligible to participate.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Northside Hospital Cancer Institute will offer a community screening to determine a man's risk for developing prostate cancer.
The screening will be held 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Cancer Institute's Radiation Oncology – Atlanta office at 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE in Sandy Springs.
Those who are eligible to take advantage of this service are men between the ages of 45 and 75 who have no prior diagnosis of prostate cancer and have not had a prostate exam within the past year.

Screenings are administered by health care professionals and consist of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. A nurse navigator will be available to help arrange follow-up care, if indicated. Interpretation services also will be available free of charge during the screening.

Pre-registration is required, and men may call 404-531-4444 to schedule an appointment. Prostate cancer remains the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men, aside from skin cancer. Men are encouraged to make an informed decision with their health care provider regarding the appropriateness of prostate cancer screening.
