Recent Fraud Crimes in Sandy Springs
A woman reported that someone accessed her bank account number and made three charges on it.

The following are recent reported fraud crimes provided by Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose.
- A woman reported that someone accessed her debit card number and made purchases on it somewhere in Canada.
- A woman reported that someone accessed her bank account number and made three charges on it. The charges were made to a company that allows people to pay and then watch live models via webcams.
- On July 2 a man reported that he responded to a time-share on the Internet. He sent $57 via money gram to Florida as a registration fee. He then gave his credit card number to cover additional fees. The card number instead paid for a $30 and then $50 bill at Fratelli’s Pizzeria in Daytona Beach, Fla. Later, a third charge was made at the same place.
- A man reported that he reviewed his Capitol One Credit Card statement and found several fraudulent charges on it. At the time of report, the company had refunded him for his loss.
