Red Baron’s Owner Bob Brown Running for Mayor

Patch has learned that Bob Brown owner of Red Baron Antiques plans to run for Mayor of Sandy Springs. Brown ran for mayor in 2008.

Since early May when Rusty Paul announced his run for Mayor, some folks wondered if Paul would be unopposed. Paul currently serves as co-chair of the Government Affairs and Public Policy Practice.

On Monday, City Councilwoman Karen Meinzen McEnerny said she will not run for Mayor, but hoped someone would come forward to run against Paul.

“It’s about choice. And I just think that we need to have people running for every office. If they don’t like the direction they see this city going in, they need to step up. I did and I’m proud of that,” McEnerny told Patch.
