Sandy Springs Police Seek Carjacking Suspect
Police say the suspect snatched money from the pocket of the victim and then got into the victim's car and drove away while the victim hung on.
Sandy Springs Police have issued warrants for 20-year old John Benjamin Harris related to the robbery and carjacking that occurred at 6989 Roswell Road, on July 12.
Harris allegedly snatched money from the pocket of the victim and then got into the victim's car and drove away while the victim hung on. Harris struck a second car and then wrecked the victim's car seconds later. Police say Harris then fled on foot.
The victim, 22-year old William Knauft, received minor cuts, bruises, and abrasions to his leg and foot as a result of the collision. Anyone with information on John Benjamin Harris is asked to contact Det. Amanda Martin at 770-551-6940.
