  1. The Savannah Speech and Hearing Center will be offering free hearing screenings this morning. The free screenings will be between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The screenings are meant for individuals above three years of age. A trained audiology assistant will be performing the screenings on a first-come, first-served basis. (Savannah Tribune)
  2. A local trapper removed an alligator from the Savannah Angles Child Care and Enrichment Center. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning on Bel Air Drive after workers were notified that an alligator was sitting under a chair by the center's front door. All of the center's children were kept inside during the incident. (WTOC)
  3. More than 2,000 applicants applied for the Savannah public housing waitlist. The application window is now closed. The city's housing authority manages five public housing communities. There is no time frame as to how long residents might be on the waitlist before being offered public housing. (WTOC)
