  1. The Tybee Island beach water advisory has been rescinded. The warning was originally issued on Wednesday by the Chatham County Health Department after increased levels of enterococcus bacteria were discovered in water samples. It was unclear what caused the elevated levels of the bacteria. (WJCL News Savannah)
  2. Chatham County Commissioners have voted unanimously to decrease the millage rate for the next fiscal year. The decreased millage rate will lower the property tax bills by $1 for every $1,000 in taxable value. The decision ran against the county's staff recommendation to leave the millage rate alone. (Savannah Morning News)
  3. The Savannah City Council has approved upgrading the city's police department's equipment. The decision was reportedly unanimous by the council. The upgrades will hopefully increase accountability for Savannah Police Department officers. The upgrades will put GPS locators in body cameras, allow supervisors to monitor taser use, and improve communication with the Central Command. (WJCL News Savannah)
