Inland Chatham County Under Tropical Storm Warning

A storm surge watch is still in effect for coastal Chatham, Liberty, Bryan and McIntosh counties.

SAVANNAH, GA — Due to effects from Tropical Storm Nicole, inland Chatham County is under a tropical storm warning as of Wednesday morning.

Coastal Chatham, McIntosh, Liberty and Bryan counties remain under a storm surge watch, according to the National Weather Service's Charleston, South Carolina, office.

According to the National Hurricane Center, a dangerous storm surge along with damaging waves is forecast for parts of coastal Georgia and Florida's east coast Wednesday.
