- The Savannah Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Saturday night. The incident was in the 2000 block of Skidaway Road. According to the department, the male shooting victim drove himself to a local hospital for treatment. (WTOC)
- Savannah is hosting several casting calls for the city's growing film industry. According to Representative Carl Gilliard, the city's film industry is intentional due to the work of the Georgia Film Music and Digital Entertainment Commission. The casting calls are primarily for background work but actors are hopeful that the work will lead to bigger roles in the future. (fox28media.com)
- Georgia Democrats have opened a new field office in Savannah. The office is part of the party's "Georgia Votes" Coordinated Campaign. The office is located off Ogeechee Road. It will be focused on the upcoming Nov. 8 General Election. (WTOC)
