  1. The Chatham County Board of Registrars continues to clean Tybee Island's voter rolls. The city clerk compiled a list of residents that voted in the November 2021 municipal election for the County Board of Registrars to challenge. The challenges will ensure that the voter rolls are accurate and that only eligible voters are participating. (WTOC)

  4. The Tybee Island Police Department warns residents about leaving pets in parked cars unattended. The temperatures inside a parked car can easily reach above 100 degrees. The problem occurs when Savannah residents come to the island for a vacation with their pets, only to discover that Tybee Island beaches do not allow dogs on beaches — at which time the owners enjoy the beach while leaving their pets in the car. People can get charged with animal cruelty charges if a pet is left in a hot car. (WTOC)
