1. Cobb County branches of YMCA of Metro Atlanta are offering visitors a one-day free guest pass. The promotion will last through Sep. 18 at the McCleskey-East Cobb Family YMCA, the Northeast Cobb Family YMCA, and the Northwest Family YMCA. The promotion is part of the YMCA's Welcoming Week celebration meant to promote cross-cultural understanding and diversity. (Cobb County Courier)
2. The Cobb County Sherriff's Office is urging parents and young adults to be aware of the spread of Rainbow Fentanyl throughout Cobb County. The drug is in the form of pills and powders in an assortment of bright colors. It can even resemble sidewalk chalk. The department is asking anyone that sees a colored pill or powdered substance to contact the authorities. (WSBTV)
3. The Cobb County Sherriff's Office has announced the funeral services for its two fallen deputies. The funeral for Deputy Jonathan Randall Koleski will be held on Wednesday at NorthStar Church in Kennesaw. Deputy Marshall Samuel Ervin Jr. will have his funeral on Thursday at West Ridge Church in Dallas. The procession routes will be shared soon. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
