- According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, COVID-19 infection rates are increasing in children zero to four years of age. The report indicates 72 individuals in the age range contracted COVID-19 in the last two weeks in Cobb County. The other age groups are showing decreasing infection rates. (Cobb County Courier)
- Cobb County has published a legal ad about a proposal which would allow the Board of Commissioners the ability to redraw commission districts. The ad was published in The Marietta Daily Journal on Friday. The proposal will be discussed on Oct. 11 and Oct. 25 at commission meetings with the final vote to be determined at a later date. (East Cobb News)
- The City of Smyrna will be hosting a Document Shredding event on Sep. 24 at Aline Wolfe Adult Recreation Center on Church Street SE. The event will be between 9:00 a.m. and noon. The free shredding service is being offered to everyone (regardless of Smyrna residency). Only paper will be shredded. Donations will be accepted for Keep Smyrna Beautiful, but the service is free of charge. (City of Smyrna)

- The screening of Tesla for tonight has been canceled at the Riverview Park amphitheater. Those who were registered have been alerted of the cancelation and money has been refunded. (City of Smyrna, GA Government via Facebook)
