Baby Found Safe After SWAT Incident
The man thought to be holed up in a Smyrna-area home with a baby on Tuesday afternoon escaped and is now being sought by police.

Cobb County police are looking for a man who caused a SWAT incident following a domestic dispute near Smyrna which involved a baby on Tuesday afternoon, a spokeswoman said.
Officers were dispatched to Cumberland Creek Place at 2:07 p.m. in response to a domestic disturbance call after a woman inside the home called for police and medical assistance, spokeswoman Alicia Chilton told Patch. The situation escalated once officers arrived, and the man inside the home refused to leave. A 9-month-old baby was trapped inside the home with the man, which prompted a SWAT team to be dispatched to take over the situation.
The SWAT team eventually made its way inside the home and found the baby unharmed, Chilton said. The man was not inside the home, and police have begun searching for him. He will likely face charges for the incident.
