Billy Joel Tour Gets First At-Bat at SunTrust Park
Singer will give first concert at the Atlanta Braves' new ballpark.
SMYRNA, GA -- A few weeks into the Braves' inaugural season at SunTrust Park, fans will be serenaded by Billy Joel. The "Uptown Girl" singer will perform at SunTrust Park on April 28, the star tweeted Thursday.
The performance will be the stadium's first concert and serve as a test for the ballpark's viability as a bonafide live music venue.
The singer last came to Atlanta in February 2015 for a concert that got rave reviews at Philips Arena. At the Braves new stadium, he hopes to surpass the effort.
