He underwent outpatient physical therapy, but ongoing numbness made it difficult to balance. RealWave ultrasound treatments helped him regain sensation in his left foot and shin.

Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:

  1. The Cobb County Board of Elections & Registration will be hosting a Town Hall today, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., to help residents learn how to participate in the critical process of free and fair elections at the local level. Cobb County residents will have the opportunity to register to vote, get information about becoming a poll worker, and meet Gerry Miller, the interim Elections Director, who will provide an overview of the municipal General/Special Election on Nov. 7. The event will take place at the Senior Wellness Center in Marietta. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The City of Smyrna turns 151 years old this weekend, and there will be a special celebration featuring a Culture and Spirit Festival to mark the occasion. Don't miss a birthday concert by the Goo Goo Dolls and the Wallflowers, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Main Stage on Atlanta Road, followed by the annual fireworks display. Bring the whole family to celebrate the city's birthday for a fun-packed day full of food, drink, music, special street performances, and more. (City of Smyrna Government)
  3. The Cobb County Schools Instrumental Director confirmed yesterday that a Wheeler High School band director, Madison Argo, suddenly passed away last Wednesday. The cause of Argo's death is unconfirmed, and the Wheeler community is in mourning over the loss in their community. The Wheeler Band Booster Club started a GoFundMe following Argo's death to support his family, which has raised nearly $15,000 thus far. (WSB-TV)
