Bridge Work to Close Lanes on I-285, I-75

SMYRNA-VININGS, GA -- Weather permitting, alternating left and right hand lane closures will occur next week on the I-285 Westbound Collector Lanes between Cumberland Boulevard and Cobb Parkway for continuing bridge work at the I-285/I-75 Interchange, the Georgia Department of Transportation said.

Work will be held Monday, December 28th to Wednesday, December 30th between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. as well as Monday, January 4th to Saturday, January 9th between the off-peak hours of 9:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.

Lane closures are likely to result in delays. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving in these areas. On-site message boards indicating dates, times and detour routes will be present in advance of these closures.
Please be advised that construction activities, including material deliveries, may result in traffic delays prior to the start of any lane closure or detour.
