A wide range of materials, including books for all ages, DVDs, audiobooks, and magazines will be available, with prices ranging from 10 cents to $4. The proceeds from the book sale will directly benefit the Cobb County Public Library's 15 branches and bookmobile, supporting the purchase of more materials. - Starting in October, CobbLinc passengers will have access to the Breeze 2.0 mobile app, which will serve as the new transit mobile fare payment system in the Atlanta region. The app, already in use on the MARTA system, offers the convenience of purchasing passes with a simple tap on your smartphone, secure cloud storage for passes, and free transfers to and from MARTA. It is suggested to go ahead and use any existing Token Transit passes by Sep. 30; they will not transfer to the new app. (Cobb County Courier)
- A bicyclist traveling along Cobb Parkway was fatally struck by a car on Monday night. The cyclist was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car, Aaliyah Ballard, was unharmed. The investigation has been transferred to the Cobb County Police Department's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program, and it remains uncertain whether Ballard will face charges in connection with the incident.
