Cobb County Food Scores: Marietta Diner, Wellstar, Waffle House

COBB COUNTY, GA — Taking a date out for dinner or grabbing dinner with some friends? Cobb County offers plenty of dining options, no matter what you're in the mood for. Whether you're up north in Acworth or down south in Austell, take a look at the latest restaurant inspection scores from the past week.

A total of 31 Cobb County restaurants and food-service operations were inspected since Aug. 26 — the last time Patch posted a restaurant score roundup — in Acworth, Atlanta, Austell, East Cobb, Kennesaw, Mableton, Marietta, Powder Springs and Smyrna.

Of the 31 restaurants, 23 received grades of A, seven of them received grades of B and one received a C: Mi Mexico in Powder Springs. None received an unacceptable score.

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.

Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70 and U for less than 70.
