Cobb Schools To Host 3-Day Virtual Job Fair For Teachers Next Week
If you're interested in becoming a teacher, Cobb County School District is hosting a virtual K-12 teacher job fair March 29 to March 31.
COBB COUNTY, GA ā If you're looking for a teaching career, this may be the event for you: the Cobb County School District is hosting a virtual job fair for K-12 teachers next week.
During the three-day virtual job fair from March 29-31, group sessions and individual sessions with school administrative teams will be available for candidates seeking teaching positions for the 2022-23 school year, according to a news release.
Ahead of the job fair, candidates will be able to see all the existing job vacancies for the upcoming year. Candidates must complete a Cobb Schools job application here before attending the fair, and they must apply to a specific position to be considered for it.

āWe are the second-largest school district in Georgia and are the largest employer in Cobb County. We have a little over 18,000 employees, and right now, weāre looking at a little over 107,000 students,ā said Amanda Shaw, assistant director of employment, in the release. āSo, there are lots of opportunities for candidates as a new teacher, a veteran teacher, or if theyāre looking to get outside the classroom to build their leadership efficacy of who they are as a leader.ā
Although the upcoming virtual job fair is only for K-12 teachers, candidates for other positions are welcome and encouraged to apply as soon as they see a position available.

āThis summer, weāre looking at having a district job fair where weāre going to look at hiring classified and certified positions. The job fair will address any openings that we have so we can hire the best candidates whether theyāre inside the classroom, are working in our maintenance department, in the central office, or elsewhere in the district,ā Shaw said. āWhether youāre a teacher or youāre looking to be a clerk, a counselor, a secretary, a bookkeeper, custodian, or in transportation, thereās a place for everyone here in Cobb County.ā
