🌱 County Board Of Education Disruptions + City Closures Announced

Here are the top three stories today in Smyrna-Vinings:
- Smyrna-native Christian Knox has been named the new sports editor of the Meridian Star. He will be covering sports in Mississippi around Meridian and Lauderdale County. He previously served with the Marietta Daily Journal. (Meridian Star)
- Cobb County's Board of Education will be required to crack down on individuals disrupting meetings. The board has until Oct. 1 to comply with Senate Bill 588. The board's new policy will prohibit abusive or offensive language, blocking individuals' entrance or exit, threats, disruptive noises, and any other action meant to disrupt a meeting. Violators will be removed from the meeting and the meeting will be paused until the disruptions are ended. (Axios)
- City of Smyrna administrative offices and services will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for Thanksgiving. The closures will not affect public safety operations.
