Infant Killed In Shooting At Cobb Motel

SMYRNA, GA — A 9-month-old girl was fatally shot Tuesday night at a motel in the 4900 block of Circle 75 Parkway, Cobb County Police said Wednesday.

Officers responded to the shooting around 8 p.m. When they arrived, police said the child's mother told officers her daughter had been shot.

Police said the infant was "beyond lifesaving measures" and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not identified.

CCPD's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the case. Police did not release any suspect details or a motive in the shooting.
