  1. On Tuesday, a Cobb County judge found probable cause for a North Carolina woman to be charged with kidnapping her daughter, who was taken from her ex-husband in Smyrna. The woman was being tried for kidnapping and interference with custody of her child, and the presiding judge found probable cause to file charges and denied bond because the woman was deemed a flight risk. 2. This week, as part of the ongoing overhaul of the Village Green, the City of Smyrna opened a splash pad and spray ground to maximize the outdoor green space in the city and provide fun for kids and families. 3. Down the road in Atlanta, a new exhibition for children and families — “Emotions at Play with Pixar’s Inside Out” — will open at the Children's Museum of Atlanta on Sep. 16. The installation is based on the popular hit Disney Pixar animated feature “Inside Out,” and will help guests understand the important role of emotions, memory, and imagination play in their everyday lives.
