Local Nonprofit Matches Donations to Wellstar Employee Fund

You may know My Friends and Me as the small nonprofit started by a group of friends to provide Thanksgiving meals for local families in need. Now the group is asking all of us to help us help the healthcare workers and their families who providing care during this COVID-19 outbreak.

Join them in donating to the Wellstar Foundation’s Team Member Emergency Assistance Fund. All gifts to the Wellstar Foundation are tax-deductible. By My Friends and Me matching your gifts, your dollars can go even farther and help even more of the people who are serving and sacrificing for our community every day.

In order for your gift to be eligible for matching funds, you need to follow very specific steps.

1. Go to Wellstar.org and click on the Make A Gift link on the top right. Or click here.
2. Select the dollar amount of your gift.
3. Choose Team Member Emergency Assistance in the Designation drop-down list.
4. Enter your payment information.
5. SUPER IMPORTANT: Be sure to write in “My Friends and Me” in the Comment Field.

All gifts to the Wellstar Foundation’s Team Member Emergency Assistance Fund go to support the lives of the individuals working at Wellstar. The Team Member Emergency Assistance Fund aims to assist Wellstar team members who have experienced an unforeseen crisis in their life. The fund is able to assist team members with things like rent/mortgage payments, utility payments, childcare and medical assistance. The program is administered through The Center for Family Resources. By supporting this fund, this is an opportunity to support the people on the front lines of this outbreak who may also need financial assistance.
