Major Lane Closures This Weekend On I-75 In Cobb County

Six miles of lane closures are planned over this weekend between Delk Road and Canton Road.

ATLANTA, GA -- Portions of I-75 in Cobb County will be closed this weekend for roadwork. Crews will implement major continuous lane closures on approximately 6 miles between Delk Road and Canton Road to continue milling, inlay and resurfacing activities. Motorists should plan for extended traffic delays in this project area and choose alternate routes and/or alternate modes of transportation during these lane closures.

Weather permitting, these are the scheduled weekend lane closures:

I-75 northbound - Continuous closures, beginning 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28 through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1:

  • Four right left lanes and the right shoulder will be closed on I-75 northbound from Delk Road to Canton Road.
  • The I-75 northbound exit ramps to South Marietta Parkway and North Marietta Parkway will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to the Canton Road exit.
  • The I-75 northbound entrance ramps from South Marietta Parkway and North Marietta Parkway will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured to US 41, then to the Canton Road exit to access I-75 northbound.

I-75 southbound - Continuous closures, beginning 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28 through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1:

  • Three right lanes and the right shoulder will be closed on I-75 southbound between Canton Road and Delk Road.
  • The North Marietta Parkway and South Marietta Parkway exit ramps to I-75 southbound will be closed. Traffic will be directed to the Delk Road exit.
  • The North Marietta Parkway and South Marietta Parkway entrance ramps from I-75 southbound will be closed. Traffic will be directed to US 41, then to the Delk Road exit to access I-75 southbound.
