Man Riding Bike Hit By Car, Killed On Windy Hill Road In Smyrna
A man in his 50s, whose name has not been released, was riding his bike on Windy Hill Road at Village Parkway when a car hit him.
SMYRNA, GA — A Smyrna man died Thursday night after a car struck and killed him while he was riding his bike, according to the Smyrna Police Department.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. last Thursday on Windy Hill Road at Village Parkway. The victim was an African American man in his 50s, and his name is being withheld at this time.
Smyrna police shut down the eastbound and westbound lanes of Windy Hill Road for several hours during the investigation, and reopened them the following morning around 8 a.m.

No charges have been made in connection with the man's death, though the driver of the car that hit him was on scene when SPD investigators arrived and was interviewed.
