NC Artist Creates Cool MLB Playoff Art For Atlanta Braves

The Braves open their first postseason since 2013 against the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Thursday.

A North Carolina-based artist has created some very cool artwork for all of the teams in this year's MLB playoffs, including the Atlanta Braves, who open their first postseason play since 2013 Thursday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Each graphic has the names of the World Series Championship players for the team (or the NL Championship for the Brewers and Rockies) arranged to form the skyline of the team’s city. Underneath are the names of their 2018 40-man roster.

The artwork was created by Matt Burt, a graphic artist who works for Versus Reviews.

After three straight 90-loss seasons, the Braves posted a 90-72 season in 2018. Games one and two in the National League Division Series will be held Thursday and Friday at Dodger Stadium, with game three set at Suntrust Park on Sunday. If necessary, game four would be played at SunTrust Park next Monday, followed by game five, if necessary, back in LA.

The Braves surprised a local high school baseball team with tickets to their first home playoff game in SunTrust Park. Bringing tickets, NL East championship t-shirts and hats, Braves relief pitcher Chad Sobotka presented the items to Campbell High School's baseball team.
