• Value City to close, auction stores. Are any in Ohio? See the full list (times-gazette.com) — A Value City Furniture store at 2540 Cumberland Blvd. in Smyrna is among 23 locations nationwide closing this month as parent company American Signature navigates Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Smyrna store will be auctioned in January, alongside other Georgia and out-of-state properties, while separate going-out-of-business sales continue at additional locations.
   

• Man charged with exposing himself at Cobb County laundromat had previous conviction for groping (wsbtv.com) — Police say a man was recently arrested after women reported he exposed himself outside a Smyrna laundromat, with officers later finding him hiding in a nearby daycare shed off Concord Road. Authorities note he has a prior Cobb County conviction for sexual battery and urge residents, especially women, to call 911 immediately if they encounter similar behavior.
