Residents Invited to 'Guide Smyrna' Workshop

Public will be updated on city's Comprehensive Plan for growth & development.

SMYRNA, GA -- The city of Smyrna is inviting residents to have their voices heard in the city's comprehensive plan for growth and development.

A public workshop on Thursday will update attendees on the "Guide Smyrna 2040," initiative, which is the policy and implementation process the city is using.

The meeting, the inaugural gathering for residents wishing to have a say in the process, will touch on a range of subjects sensitive to the city, including economic development, transportation and housing.

Guide Smyrna 2040 will implement aspects of the 2014 Vision Plan as well as the 2030 Comprehensive Plan, the city said.
