Smyrna Business Owner Giving Back To Community
In less than five years, Ray Snead has built a business and earned a reputation as one of the community's philanthropic leaders.

SMYRNA, GA ā In less than five years time of opening his own business, Raymond Snead has earned a reputation as one of the communityās most generous philanthropists and community leaders. Sneadās story started in east Cobb County where he graduated from Walton High School. He earned an undergraduate degree at Jacksonville State University, before pursuing a career that would carry him to Iraq and Afghanistan. Snead would return home to metro Atlanta where he would begin to open Wingstop Restaurants in Smyrna while completing his MBA at The University of Alabama.
Snead has amassed a staff of over 60 employees who adore him. He has taken kids off the streets and given them a career. Children of his staff have had Christmas for the first time in their life because he has paid out of his own pocket for it. Homeless staff at times have been given a roof over their head until they can get back on their feet.
Outside of providing a progressive and stable income to local citizens, the true story of his heart lies in what he has done in the community through philanthropy. Snead recently donated $8,000 for MUST Ministries that will be utilized to feed underprivileged children at Cobb County schools. Hundreds of children who would have come to school this year without a meal now have one because of one man.

Snead has also leveraged his company to be a strong Partner in Education with local schools. He was awarded the Sam Olens Business Community Service award by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Trend magazine in 2016 for exemplary service in support of Cobb Countyās nonprofit community.
Snead has spent more than $10,000 in support of local schools. Sponsorships of clubs and sports teams at Campbell High School, establishing an Athlete of the Month program, distributing thousands of teacher appreciation cards for free meals, and answering emergency funding calls from the administration when needed.

Snead has also been a strong supporter of local police and fire over the last four years, donating more than $10,000 to the support of their personnel through foundation donorship, gifting trips to firefighters and police officers.

Next February will mark the five-year anniversary of Snead opening his first Wingstop in Smyrna.
