Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:

  1. This weekend, the Smyrna Community Center will be hosting the U.S. Association of Blind Athlete's Southeast Regional Goalball Tournament. There will be 12 men's teams and eight women's teams competing at the event. Goalball is a popular sport among athletes who are visually impaired. The game involves two teams of three players who try to roll a bell-filled ball over their opponent's goal line. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. Cobb County will be hosting a free microchip clinic for dogs and cats on Monday, Jun. 26 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m down the street in Marietta. There will be 100 chips available, and this event is restricted to Cobb County residents. Appointments are required and can be made by emailing Jessica.Darrough@cobbcounty.org. 3. In nearby Mableton, more than a dozen homeowners were shocked to discover their properties had been vandalized with spray paint. Multiple vehicles were also marked by lines of spray paint.
