Smyrna Man Arrested for Marietta Carjacking
Jeffery Pharr was taken into custody without incident on Tuesday, police said.

A Smyrna man has been arrested and charged with numerous offenses for a carjacking which took place in Marietta last week, police said Thursday.
Jeffery Pharr, 22, allegedly pointed a gun at a motorist getting into his car in the 1900 block of Windy Hill Road at approximately 7:19 p.m. on Sept. 16. Pharr allegedly demanded money and ordered the victim to get into the passenger’s seat, which gave him time to flee the scene. Pharr allegedly drove off in the victim’s vehicle before police arrived.
On Sept. 20, police located the victim’s vehicle a block from Pharr’s Smyrna home. The vehicle was impounded and handed over to Marietta police, who were able to determine that Pharr had been inside the vehicle. Warrants were secured for Pharr’s arrest and he was taken into custody without incident, Marietta police said.
