Smyrna Restaurant Catches Fire, No One Injured

Tacos La Villa Mexican Taqueria off Cobb Parkway caught fire Monday morning, and the one worker in the restaurant got out safely.

SMYRNA, GA — A Smyrna restaurant caught fire Monday morning, but no one was injured.

Firefighters were called to Tacos La Villa Mexican Taqueria just before 8:30 a.m. Monday, located at 2415 Cobb Parkway SE in Smyrna, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.

Crews put out the fire in about 15 minutes, and officials said no one was injured.

The only employee inside at the time got out safely, but there was heavy damage inside the restaurant. Additionally, neighboring businesses experienced minor smoke damage, a Smyrna Fire Department spokesperson told Patch.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
