- The Smyrna Spring Jonquil Festival will take place around City Hall with over 150 arts and crafts booths, 12 food booths, and children's activities. Visitors can enjoy the blooming Jonquils and a variety of festival foods, including cotton candy, candy apples, and barbecue. The festival is free to attend and will take place on Apr. 29 and 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 12-5 p.m. on Sunday. (City of Smyrna)
- The nearby Marietta History Center will host historian Alan R. McClarnand on May 16 at 6 p.m. to discuss his research on prohibition-era illegal whisky operations called "blind tigers." The lecture will focus on the connection between prohibition and race relations in Marietta during the Jim Crow era. Admission is $10 for non-members and free for museum members. - The Root House Plant Sale, taking place on Apr. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will feature vintage and native Georgia plants, gardening books, and small-batch botanical products in nearby Marietta. The Root House was certified as a “Georgia Grown” Agritourism Site in 2021, and the gardens showcase plants available in Georgia during the 1860s. The sale operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and discounts are offered on remaining items in the last half-hour of the sale. (Cobb County Courier)

Proceeds from the event will benefit Keep Smyrna Beautiful programs, including student scholarships, with tickets available for $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. (City of Smyrna)
- Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays are back in May! Every Tuesday from May 2 through Sep. 26, you can grab gourmet food from trucks and enjoy music and sweets from 5-9 p.m. at Taylor-Brawner Park. (City of Smyrna)
