Sprouts Farmers Market Coming To Smyrna Featuring New Design

Smyrna will be one of four new Sprouts stores to introduce an updated, smaller, but "very efficient" new layout.

SMYRNA, GA — Sprouts Farmers Market announced a series of store openings this year in a Friday news release, including one coming to Smyrna.

The Smyrna location will be one of four new stores set to pilot the healthy grocer's updated, smaller format, averaging 25,000 square feet, the release said.

“Our refreshed format highlights the unique experience Sprouts is known for while emphasizing product innovation, attributes and departments meaningful to our target customers like high-quality meat and seafood, frozen items and plant-based products,” saidDave McGlinchey, Sprouts chief format officer, in the release. “The smaller size is very efficient and keeps produce at the heart of the store while maintaining our familiar open layout that will offer more assortment of products for a treasure hunt shopping experience.”

Sprouts operates 362 stores in 23 states, and each of the 20 new stores will bring about 110 new career opportunities to the market, according to the release.

"Sprouts is known for offering a unique farmer’s market experience through an open layout fostering customer engagement, and a curated selection of innovative and responsibly sourced healthy products," the release said.

No grand opening date or official location were available as of publication March 5, but Sprouts officials said that information will be shared "at a later date."
