Suspects in Smyrna Mouth Shooting Also Broke into Cars: Police

Three to five suspects are wanted by Cobb and Smyrna police for a string of crimes which includes car break-ins and armed robbery.

Police believe that a group of people who allegedly shot a woman in the mouth during an armed robbery in Smyrna late Monday night are responsible for a rash of crimes in the immediate vicinity.

Smyrna police tell Patch that anywhere from three to five people are suspected of breaking into parked cars in a neighborhood off the East/West Connector on Monday, hours before robbing a woman at gunpoint outside the Sports Authority at the Akers Mill Shopping Center.

According to police, black 2007 Ford F150 with license plate BSG9427 has been seen ‘at different locations’ in the area and is believed to be the vehicle the suspects are using in their crimes. Police urge residents who spot the truck not to touch or approach it.
