Truck Drives Off Overpass, Crashes Onto Cobb I-75

ATLANTA — One person was killed Monday afternoon when a pickup truck drove off an overpass on Akers Mill Road in Smyrna and crashed onto I-75. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, and police have confirmed the fatality to local media outlets.

Channel 2 reported the truck was traveling north on I-75 before exiting at Akers Mill Road at a high rate of speed.

Several lanes on both I-75 north and south were blocked while crews removed wide-strewn debris.
