Vinings Robbery Suspect Sought

Cobb police are looking for the man who robbed a Vinings SunTrust Bank at gunpoint.

Just after 3:30 p.m. Friday, a man in blue jeans and a button-up long-sleeve shirt entered the branch at 4338 Paces Ferry Road with a handgun, Cobb police Officer Mike Bowman said. His right pant leg was torn from the knee to the thigh, he said.

The man "approached a teller demanding money while showing her that he had a weapon concealed in his clothing," Bowman said. He took off in an unknown direction after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 white male with a medium build and black or brown hair. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call 770-499-3945.
