Smyrna Woman, 30, Dies After Losing Control Of Car And Crashing On I-75: Police
A woman was driving on I-75 when she lost control of her car for an unknown reason, and died after a tractor-trailer crashed into her.
COBB COUNTY, GA — A Cobb County woman died in a car crash on Interstate 75 late last week, after police say she lost control of her car and a tractor-trailer driver crashed into her.
Around 6:15 a.m. Thursday, Lauren Coyne, 30, of Smyrna, was driving north on I-75 at the Delk Road overpass when she lost control of her car, causing it to head across the other travel lanes, a spokesperson for the Marietta Police Department said.
A tractor-trailer driver was driving north on the interstate and hit Coyne's car as it spun into their lane.

Coyne sustained life-threatening injuries from the crash and was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to MPD. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and was released from the scene.
Police said at this time, it's not known what caused Coyne to lose control of her car.
