2-Year-Old Falls Out of Apartment Window in DeKalb: Report

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA -- A toddler is on the mend Thursday after she fell from a third-story the day before, according to news reports.

The 2-year-old girl was not seriously hurt in the incident but did land on the ground amid rocks, WSB-TV reports. She was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

The mother of the child, who reportedly has five children, was home during the incident, which happened at Stone Mountain's the Reserve at Stone Creek apartment complex in the 1400 block of South Hairston Road.

A man recorded first responders tending to the girl outside the apartment about 6 p.m., the TV station reports. "I heard a child screaming,” witness Carlos White told WSB-TV.
