Imam to Lead Discussion After "Koran By Heart" Film at Northlake-Barbara Loar

Viewers of the film "Koran By Heart" at Northlake-Barbara Loar library on May 6 can take part in a discussion afterward led by Imam Plemon T. El-Amin, Imam Emeritus of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam.

"Koran By Heart" is a documentary about Muslim children around the world who compete in Egypt's International Koran Reading Competition.

The program, scheduled from from 6:30-8 p.m. May 6,  is part of the The Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys series, which is a project of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Northlake-Barbara Loar is located at 3772 LaVista Rd. in Tucker.
