Pedestrian Killed In Tucker Crash Involving FedEx Truck ID'ed

The pedestrian was crossing the private driveway of a retail store when they were hit by the FedEx truck.

TUCKER, GA — The 77-year-old pedestrian who died after being hit by a FedEx truck Saturday in the area of Northlake Parkway near Crescent Center Boulevard in Tucker has been identified.

DeKalb County Police on Monday said the crash killed Berhane Tedla, who was crossing the private driveway of a retail store around 11:15 a.m., when he was hit by the truck.

The driver, who was turning onto Northlake at the time of the crash, stayed at the scene, police said. The driver was not identified.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends who are mourning the loss of their loved one as a result of this tragic accident. Safety is our highest priority, and we are cooperating fully with the local police in their investigation.
