Smoke Rise Holds First Tree Lighting

Smoke Rise Community Association heralded the holiday season Saturday evening with the neighborhood’s first tree lighting at the community garden.  

The brainchild of board member and garden chair Doug Reynics, the event is slated to occur annually. 

Neighbors gathered for hot chocolate and cider with cookies. As the evening sky darkened, the group sang several holiday songs while admiring the 18’ tree and the paths lit with luminaria.
