The car was involved in a collision at the intersection of Clairmont and Briarcliff roads at about 6:45am, said Edgar Evans, 57, of Tucker. The collision forced the victim's car off the road, and it slammed into a at 2755 Clairmont Rd NE immediately after.

Evans told WSB-TV he was inside the gas station getting coffee for his wife when the car smashed into the pump. "My first impulse was to run behind him and push his car with my truck, but I figured we'd both be caught,” Evans told the TV station.
