  1. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is looking for two people seen on surveillance stealing money from an ATM. On Thursday afternoon, two suspects forced a technician away from the ATM at Wells Fargo in Towne Lake while he was working on it. The suspects then fled in an unspecified, white vehicle. If you have any information about the two suspects, please contact the sheriff at 770-928-0239 or 911. You can see pictures of the individuals at the link. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. A stretch of Arnold Mill Road east of Main Street will be affected by paving beginning this Sunday. The work will be done from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, slated to finish up on Thursday. The westbound lanes of Arnold Mill Road will stay open, but the eastbound lanes in the work area will be closed. Traffic going eastbound on Towne Lake Parkway will need to detour at Main Street, and through-traffic on that route will need to opt for the Highway 92 detour when given the option. Traffic at the Arnold Mill/Hubbard intersection will be allowed only westbound turns. You can find maps at the link. (City of Woodstock via Facebook)
  3. Have you marked off some events on the Cherokee Recreation & Parks' July calendar? Pies can be sweet, savory, hot or cold, and made using canned, fresh, dried or frozen ingredients.
