Hello all! Nina here with your Wednesday edition of the Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch newsletter, filled with all the things you need to know about what's happening in town. Including updates on:
- Theft from a vehicle at Hobgood Park.

- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is asking for our assistance with a case involving a a theft from a vehicle at Hobgood Park on Sept. 12. The incident took place around 7:40 p.m. and a female was captured on video around the vehicle, you can take a look at the link. If you recognize the woman or have information on the theft, please reach out to the sheriff at 770-928-0239; you can reference case #SO23-013170. (Cherokee Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
- Next week will bring one of the last Unwind Wednesdays of the year to Cherokee Veterans Park. The theme for Sept. 27 is "Farewell Summer: Nature hike and archery," and I can't wait! The last event will be "Trunk or Treat for Halloween" on Oct. 25, the events take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the park and include food trucks, vendors and activities for everyone. The word is, there are still vendor and sponsor spots available for this series and other county events, if you're interested, please head here for further information and to see a list of upcoming events. - Woodstock Arts is finishing September off with some incredible programming, and in true fashion, the scheduled events hold a bit of something for everyone. There's a live-action "Clue" game on Sept. 29 in the downtown area, and the free "Woodstock Clue-munity Extravaganza" evening includes a showing of "Scooby Do!" on The Green. Also on Sept. 29, it's "Latin Music Night + Art on the Spot" at the Reeves House, where you'll enjoy live music and a presentation of art created by artists live during the free event. On Sept. 30, Parson James will be performing as part of the Lantern Series on The Green, tables are still available for the performance. (Woodstock Arts)
- The 2023 Cadence Fair has been scheduled for Oct. 14 at Reformation Brewery, and the party this year is also in celebration of Reformation's 10-year anniversary. The musical headliner is Jonathan Peyton, and other artists appearing include Hunter Blalock, Shane Byous Band, Cody Bolden and several others. As in past years, the event will also feature a Maker's Mash with area vendors and food from Queenie's BBQ, Maui Wowie Hot Chicken, Cheez'd and Confuzed Grilled Cheese, Joe's Lonestar Tacos and other local eateries in the downtown area. - Space Stories Storytime: It's a special story time today, on-theme with the library system's "Sequoyah Space Explorers" program. You can also register on Beanstack to join the reading challenge and earn prizes, the story time today will be at the Rose Creek Library, 4476 Towne Lake Parkway. (10:30 - 11:30 a.m.)
- Trivia Night: Join your friends and neighbors at Reformation Brewery tonight for trivia with Lights Up! Entertainment. There are prizes for the top-three winners, the brewery address is 105 Elm St. (7 - 9 p.m.)
- Music Bingo: Grab a bite from The Club at Cedarcrest food truck and play some music bingo at Truck & Tap, 8640 Main St. (7:30 - 10 p.m.)
- Murder on the Night Train: The event at The Blue Ghost Arcade tonight will bring you back in time to 1935 to solve a crime. There will be awards for best dressed, best detective and best actor, admission includes unlimited gaming all night. Please reserve your spot on the arcade's Meetup page, the address is 164 Towne Lake Parkway. (8 p.m.)

- Cherokee Recreation & Parks is holding a Halloween festival on Oct. 21 at Cherokee Veterans Park. "The Great Pumpkin Fest" will be full with everything from vendors and food to archery, crafts and costumes. - If you have paint, chemicals, pesticides, Styrofoam or any of the hazardous waste items listed here laying around, as of this writing, there are still plenty of appointments available for the collection event on Nov. 4 at Woodstock City Church.
