  1. It's time for the Star Spangled Pub Crawl in Downtown Woodstock! There are some amazing food and drink specials around the area, be sure to check out the full list of participating locations and their menus at the link. The party is from 2-6 p.m., and when you get to your first participating spot, you'll get an entry form. Collect five stamps from spots you visit and turn in the entry form at your last stop for a chance to win event prizes. Have fun and be safe, neighbors! (Visit Woodstock)
  2. Cherokee County Emergency Management is advising that we are under a heat advisory until Monday morning. Keep your cool water handy, it's important to stay hydrated. Take lots of breaks if you're outside this weekend, and wear sunscreen. It's never a great idea to leave a pet or person in an unattended car, but it's especially important during warm or hot weather to check and double check before walking away from the vehicle.   3. The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is searching for a runaway last seen around 4:30 p.m. yesterday in the area of Jerusalem Church Road and Goshen Church Way. The 13-year-old male, Majesty Parks, is described as a Black male with brown hair and eyes, 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt and turquoise swim trunks.   4. The sheriff is also searching for a 55-year-old male, Billy Allen Tuggle, who failed to register as a sex offender. The white male is thought to be in a black 1989 Chevrolet Blazer with the tag RUT8185. If you have information on Tuggle's whereabouts, please contact authorities at 911.   • Kids Corner - Firework Fun: The kids will explore the "All the Fixins" exhibit in the Gallery and then create art inspired by fireworks. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult, and adults can participate too. You can sign up at the link, the event will be held at Reeves House Studio, 734 Reeves St. (10:30 a.m.)
  • Free Rock Painting Event: Courtesy of Cherokee Recreation & Parks, there's a pop-up rock painting event at The WREC Pavilion today. Head over to paint some rocks with the family, the address is 7545 Main St., building 200. (2 - 4 p.m.)
  • LEGO Lab: For all ages, though children must be accompanied by an adult. Head to the Rose Creek Library to create with the popular building blocks. The library is at 4476 Towne Lake Parkway. (3 - 4 p.m.)
  • Lady Liberty Wine Tasting & Fireworks: Enjoy the wine tasting, there will be fireworks afterwards. Bring your lawn chairs and dress in your patriotic best, the party is at The Gifted Ferret, 1910 Eagle Drive, Unit 400. (5 - 9:45 p.m.)
  • "Ordinary Days": The musical tells the story of young adults looking for fulfillment, happiness, love and taxi cabs. The performance is best for ages 14 and up, due to adult themes and language, and will be held at the Woodstock Arts Theatre, 8534 Main St. (7:30 p.m.)
  • Board Game Night: A great event for groups, have a fun evening playing board games at The Blue Ghost Arcade, 164 Towne Lake Parkway. (8 p.m.)

  • Today is officially "Set Beer Free Day," as proclaimed by our mayor, and Reformation Brewery will have live music, and local artists and vendors will be set up on The Green, thanks to Maker's Mash. In celebration of Woodstock Arts and local, independent makers and music, there will also be a special release of the brew "Create Vibrancy," with a portion of the proceeds going to support the local nonprofit. The fun runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Reformation Brewery via Facebook)
  • The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is holding their weekly adoption event today. The available animals can be seen online here, please follow the instructions found at the link for getting into the "virtual line."   • The Summer Music Series at The Outlet Shoppes continues tomorrow with Wyatt Band. The music will play from 2-4 p.m., and the six-piece group plays all types of music, so there'll be something for everyone. The next performer in the series will be Highbeams on July 15. (Visit Woodstock)
  • If you haven't found the perfect Fourth of July T-shirt yet, it's waiting for you over at the Woodstock Visitors Center. The special Star Spangled Woodstock designs come in children's and adult's sizes, and they also have a Star Spangled silicone pint glass.   • The Blue Ghost Arcade is hosting a special event on Monday, "The Simpsons" trivia. The top-three winners will get prizes, admission includes unlimited gaming all night.
