  1. The future of the Woodstock Trail System is in our hands, partially because the City of Woodstock is asking for our thoughts on possible connection routes between the Noonday Creek Trail and the Rubes Creek Trail. The "Connect the Creeks" campaign is set up to where we can see the project website, which you can find here, complete with ways for the public to help shape the plan for the connection points. On the website, there are several activities for public engagement, and as future opportunities for the community to provide input arise, the website will be updated in real time. There are already activities open for us, and you can see the project timeline and a map of the area on the main page. (Woodstock News Post)
  2. There's a Murder Mystery at The Blue Ghost Arcade tonight, and you can play detective as you sift through secrets and clues. The evening's event, "Murder Mystery on the Dance Floor," will be limited to the first 12 people to sign up at the front desk, so head over early to ensure you can participate. Admission includes the murder mystery and unlimited games all night, if you're heading over, be sure to thrown on your favorite disco outfit. The arcade is located at 164 Towne Lake Parkway, and the event starts at 8 p.m. (The Blue Ghost Arcade via Facebook)
  3. Fall registration is open over at Cherokee Recreation & Parks, and there are many amazing classes, sports teams and activities going on this season. For the kids, it's time to register for Youth Basketball and Youth Girls Flag Football, and for the adults, there's tennis, recreational classes and many more. You can see the full Fall/Winter Play Cherokee catalog here, take a look at the seasonal events like the Hugs in a Blanket program, it's a great way to give back to the senior community during the holiday season. (Cherokee Recreation & Parks)
  4. The next Unwind Wednesday is coming up on Aug. 30, and the theme this time is "Trail Stories." The evening events in the series are held on the last Wednesday each month at Cherokee Veterans Park in Canton, and each event features themed activities, food trucks and more. The theme for the Sept. 27 is "Farewell Summer: Nature Hike and Archery," and the last in the series is scheduled for Oct. 25, and the theme is "Trunk or Treat." If you'd like to apply to be a vendor or sponsor at one of the future Unwind Wednesdays, you can reach out to Jessica Hallman at jshallman@cherokeega.com. (Cherokee Recreation & Parks)
