WOODSTOCK-TOWNE LAKE, GA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

How do you know the local hero?
Personal friends
What does the local hero do?
They own and operate the Semper Fi Bar and Grille.
They also help veterans in the local area receive aid and assistance through their contacts. They are instrumental in helping other veteran-owned businesses. They now have opened up the opportunity for other veterans to open up a restaurant in their community modeled after the Semper Fi (Rally Point). And they support our community first responders.
Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?
Ralph and Carrie do not have a restaurant background. They saw a need to help local veterans and started from scratch developing and starting the Semper Fi. The restaurant community mentored them in this adventure.
From the opening of the door until present day, veterans walk in with unique problems, needs and share their stories with those they can trust.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?
Selfless community service.
Thank you for all you do, Ralph and Carrie Roeger!
