Here are the top stories today in Woodstock-Towne Lake:
- Cherokee County welcomed two new, highly-trained K-9 officers into the Sheriff's Office this week. K-9 Officer Blue and K-9 Officer Atlas are both just over a year old and both have been certified by the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association. Handlers Sgt. Jared Jordan and Deputy Robert Currie attended training along with their K-9 officers for nine weeks in Jasper, the dogs were trained to track, clear buildings, conduct area and evidence searches and detect narcotics. - There's a familiar face moving into a new spot in Downtown Woodstock and it's a longtime local favorite, suddenly shuttered just two months ago at their lease end. Dulce Artisan Gelato has moved into their new location at 775 Dobbs Road, and the official grand opening will be held this Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m. The gelato spot can now be found conveniently at the intersection of Dobbs and Arnold Mill roads, be sure to stop by to celebrate and enjoy some nice, cold gelato on their patio outside.
