• Māʻili hit-and-run leaves pedestrian critically injured, driver still sought (khon2.com) — Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help to find a driver who fled after critically injuring a pedestrian in a hit-and-run on Farrington Highway in the Māʻili/Nānākuli area. Investigators say speed was likely a factor, and lawmakers are again pointing to island-wide traffic safety concerns. Anyone with information is urged to call HPD’s Traffic Division.

• Neverson's impact has extended beyond stat sheet for Rainbow Wahine (khon2.com) — Honolulu fans will soon see the Rainbow Wahine women’s basketball team back on the court, with this week’s home games airing on Spectrum Sports and ESPN Honolulu radio. The story spotlights senior transfer Saniyah Neverson, whose rebounding, defense, and locker-room leadership have become crucial as Hawaiʻi enters a demanding Big West stretch seeking consistency and momentum.
   

• DLNR opens jobs for conservation officers across Hawaii (khon2.com) — From Honolulu, state officials have opened applications for 53 new DLNR conservation officer positions that will protect natural and cultural resources across Hawaii starting in 2026. The full-time jobs require applicants to be at least 21, meet fitness and background standards, and apply online quickly before the limited slots fill. Honolulu residents interested in outdoor enforcement work are encouraged to apply early.
