- The ninth annual Walk for Wishes Boise will take place on Jun. 2 at Esther Simplot Park. Make-A-Wish Idaho hopes to raise $80,000 from the event and has already received $30,000 from early registrants and local business sponsorships. Participants can register as individuals or teams online, with no registration fee but a suggested fundraising goal of $100 or more. The walk will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is one mile in length. - Former Boise Police Chief Mike Masterson launched his campaign Tuesday to challenge Boise Mayor Lauren McLean, citing an administration in crisis and a troubled police department. - Ahead of schedule, the water park Roaring Springs has completed the first phase of its expansion and will open to the public just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
